🎶 一款用 Java 实现的现代化社区(论坛/问答/BBS/社交网络/博客)系统平台。A modern community (forum/Q&A/BBS/SNS/blog) system platform implemented in Java. https://ld246.com

Symphony (Sym) is a full-featured Java forum/Q&A/BBS/social platform built on the custom Latke web framework, actively used to run the b3log community site ld246.com. It's for teams that want a complete, self-hosted community platform with points, roles, moderation and chat baked in, rather than a lightweight forum library you assemble yourself.

The feature list is enormous and clearly built from years of running a real production community, not scaffolding: gamified points/wallet system, role-based permissions, a moderation/review queue, notifications, chat rooms, and referral tracking are all present and wired together. The editor (Vditor) supports real Markdown with math, drafts, clipboard image upload and keyboard shortcuts, which is a step above most forum software's textarea-plus-BBCode approach. It ships a maintained Dockerfile and GitHub Actions CI, and skipping Spring entirely for the in-house Latke framework keeps the dependency tree small.

The README itself links two open security issues around password handling (MD5 hashing, insecure password transmission), which is honest disclosure but also a real red flag for anyone deploying this as-is. It's AGPLv3, and any commercial or hosted use requires a separate paid license (¥20,000/year for the cloud tier), so this isn't freely usable for a company's own forum without a purchase. Nearly all documentation, issue templates and code comments are Chinese-only apart from the translated README, adding real friction for English-speaking contributors. Building on a bespoke framework (Latke) instead of Spring Boot means less community tooling, fewer examples, and a steeper ramp when something breaks outside the maintainer's own usage patterns.
