DataOps for Microsoft Data Platform technologies. https://aka.ms/dataops-repo

A grab-bag of Microsoft-authored sample projects showing how to wire CI/CD, testing, and observability around Azure data tools — ADF, Databricks, Fabric, Synapse. Useful as a reference if you're setting up DataOps pipelines on Azure and want to see Microsoft's own recommended patterns rather than building from scratch.

The end-to-end Databricks/ADF medallion sample is the strongest piece — it's a real working pipeline with IaC, CI/CD, and automated tests, not just a config snippet. Coverage spans the whole Azure data stack (ADF, Databricks, Fabric, Synapse, Azure SQL), so there's a decent chance your specific tool combination has a sample. The .github folder includes Copilot-ready prompts and instructions per technology, which is a genuinely useful pattern for teams doing AI-assisted infra work.

The repo is explicitly marked as no longer maintained, with Fabric users pointed to Microsoft's official docs instead — check the archive/ folder size before trusting any given sample is current. It bundles telemetry by default (partner_id in Terraform, AZURE_HTTP_USER_AGENT in shell scripts, attribution blocks in Bicep) that you have to manually strip out if you don't want Microsoft tracking your deployments. It's a collection of disconnected samples rather than a library or tool, so there's no shared abstraction to build on — you're copy-pasting and adapting, not importing a package.
