Async client for the Binance APIs
An async Rust client for the Binance REST and websocket APIs built on tokio, covering spot, margin, futures (USD-M and COIN-M), options, portfolio margin, and wallet endpoints. Useful if you're already stuck maintaining code against it, but Binance now ships their own official Rust SDK and this one's README says flatly it's no longer maintained.
Broad endpoint coverage across very different product lines (spot, margin, both futures flavors, options, portfolio margin) in one crate, which is more surface area than most third-party exchange clients bother with. It's fully async on tokio rather than a sync wrapper bolted on later. Lets you choose native-tls or rustls via feature flags, which matters for anyone running in minimal containers or CI without OpenSSL headaches. Ships cargo-semver-checks tooling and clippy/rust CI workflows, so at least API breakage gets caught mechanically even without active maintenance.
The README opens with a maintenance warning pointing to Binance's own official binance-connector-rust and says this crate 'will not receive updates except for compliance' — that's the headline fact, not a footnote. Still shipping as 2.0.0-beta.1 despite the author claiming years of production use, which says the API surface hasn't stabilized enough to cut a real 1.0. The README admits futures and savings endpoints are implemented but 'not thoroughly tested,' and contribution guidelines require testnet-verified tests that nobody's realistically going to write for a project that's being sunset. No changelog-based detection of upstream Binance API drift is built in, so breaking changes on Binance's end will surface as runtime failures, not compile errors.
