HTML and Form Builders for the Laravel Framework

A fork of the Form/HTML builder helpers that Laravel core shipped in v4 and dropped in v5 — Form::open(), Form::text(), Html::link() and friends, plus old()-value and CSRF binding baked in. It's for maintainers keeping a Laravel 4/5-era codebase alive, not for anyone starting fresh.

Small, readable surface area — FormBuilder and HtmlBuilder are each basically one file, so you can read the whole thing in an afternoon. Has real unit tests (FormBuilderTest, HtmlBuilderTest, FormAccessibleTest) covering model binding and CSRF token injection, not just happy-path smoke tests. The facade + service provider wiring is a clean, textbook example of how Laravel packages registered themselves in that era.

The README outright says the package is retired and points you at a paid Shift migration to spatie/laravel-html — adopting this now just defers a forced rewrite. The Travis CI badge is almost certainly dead since Travis killed free OSS builds years ago, which undercuts confidence in the 2024 push despite the recent commit date. It generates markup via PHP string-builder calls instead of Blade components, which is the opposite of how modern Laravel apps structure forms. No PHP 8 attribute/enum support and nothing for Livewire or Blade component-based forms, so it doesn't fit any current Laravel convention.
