Jenkins shared library for Continuous Delivery pipelines.

Project Piper is SAP's Jenkins shared library: a huge set of prebuilt pipeline steps and default pipelines for CI/CD that talks to SAP systems (ABAP environments, BTP, Cloud Foundry, gCTS, integration suite, etc.). It's for teams already on Jenkins who need SAP-specific deployment steps without writing them from scratch.

The breadth is real — hundreds of steps in cmd/ cover SAP-specific targets (ABAP Add-on Assembly Kit, gCTS, BTP service management, integration artifact deploy) that you'd otherwise hand-roll as Groovy scripts. Every step follows a consistent generated pattern (_generated.go plus _generated_test.go), which keeps a command surface this large actually uniform and testable. CI is taken seriously: markdown/YAML linting, Go vet and report card badges, code coverage tracking, and separate PR vs. full integration test workflows.

The repo is scheduled for archival on December 31, 2026, and is already in critical-fixes-only mode — adopting this now means starting on a dependency with a fixed shutdown date. It's locked to Jenkins, which is losing ground to GitHub Actions and GitLab CI, so the addressable audience is shrinking independent of the archive notice. The README offers zero migration guidance for external users beyond 'contact your SAP representative,' which is not a plan. The generated cmd/ tree is enormous and the codegen tooling that produces it isn't documented in what's shown here, making it hard for an outside contributor to modify a step correctly rather than just calling one.
