Saas-Starter-Kit/SAAS-Starter-Kit-Pro
A boilerplate for building Software-as-Service (SAAS) apps with Reactjs, and Nodejs
A Next.js/Node boilerplate for SaaS apps bundling auth, Stripe billing, org/team permissions, and three separate AWS CDK stacks (Lambda CRUD, Fargate API, CI/CD pipeline) for deployment. Aimed at someone who wants a working SaaS skeleton with billing and AWS infra already wired up rather than building auth and payments from scratch.
It's an unusually complete vertical slice for a free starter kit: Firebase auth, Stripe subscriptions with upgrade/cancel flows, CASL-based org permissions, and real AWS CDK constructs split into separate stacks (vpc, database, roles, secrets) instead of one monolithic template, so a piece can be lifted out on its own. The frontend is organized into clear Marketing/Auth/App/User/Purchase domains with Redux state and both Jest and Cypress scaffolding already in place.
The README says outright that the project is no longer maintained and points to a successor repo (Saas-Kit-prisma), so anyone starting here is building on an abandoned base with no guarantee the dependencies still install cleanly two years on. There's no root setup documentation beyond scattered .env.example files, and Firebase, CASL, Stripe, and three AWS stacks all ship together with no way to take just one piece — you inherit the whole stack even if you only wanted the billing flow. A stray machine-learning folder with a notebook and PDF report sitting inside a SaaS boilerplate is also a red flag for repo hygiene.
