SpotiFlyer is a Kotlin Multiplatform app that lets you download tracks, albums, and playlists from Spotify, Gaana, JioSaavn, SoundCloud, and YouTube Music, actually pulling the audio from YouTube/YouTube Music under the hood and using the other services as metadata sources. It's aimed at people who want their music as local files on Android, desktop, or web without paying for a streaming subscription.
The Kotlin Multiplatform setup is real, not a demo: separate androidMain/desktopMain/jsMain/iosMain source sets share the download/search/tagging logic through common modules (core-components, data-models), with platform-specific HTTP clients, file managers, and media converters wired in via expect/actual. It ships with API keys baked in so there's no setup friction, and the architecture for things like ID3 tagging and foreground-service downloads on Android is properly separated from the shared business logic rather than bolted on.
The maintainer has explicitly discontinued it as of this README — all future work goes into a separate, closed-source successor (Soundbound) with install-time disclaimers, and SpotiFlyer itself gets no further updates. That matters a lot here because the whole app depends on reverse-engineered, undocumented APIs (Spotify, Gaana, JioSaavn) that break without notice; with no one left to patch them, expect growing breakage since the last push over a year ago. It has no test suite (listed as a TODO, never done), and the hosted web build runs off the author's personal device with no uptime guarantee.
