Spiderjockey02/Discord-Bot
A discord bot that can play music, moderate, log events and more
Egglord is a monolithic, self-hostable Discord bot covering moderation, music (via Lavalink/erela.js), giveaways, tickets, leveling, reaction roles, and general-purpose fun/utility commands — 140+ commands across 13 categories. It's aimed at server owners who want one bot that does everything rather than stitching together several single-purpose bots.
Logging coverage is unusually thorough — 37 distinct guild/audio/shard events are handled, which is more than most self-hosted bots bother with. Multi-language support is wired through Crowdin rather than being an afterthought, and the docs (COMMANDS.md, INSTALLATION.md, FAQ.md) are actually maintained alongside the code. CI includes CodeQL and Dependabot, which is more security hygiene than typical for a hobby-scale JS bot.
It's a kitchen-sink design with no plugin boundaries — commands, events, and the Mongoose models all live in one tightly coupled tree, so adding or removing a feature means touching shared state rather than dropping in a module. The author states in the README that development is 'pretty much at the end' and future work is bug fixes only, so this isn't a codebase to expect new capability from. Lavalink plugin jars (lavasrc, youtube-source, skybot, etc.) are checked straight into the repo as binaries instead of being fetched at deploy time, which is bad repo hygiene and a pain to keep current. There's no visible test directory, so with 140+ commands in plain JS (no TypeScript), regressions depend entirely on manual QA.
