StateSpeed-Solutions/Agric-MarketPlace-Smart-Contract

C · updated Oct 2025

A decentralized marketplace built on the NEAR Protocol, designed to connect farmers directly with clients through a transparent, trustless, and efficient blockchain-based platform. By leveraging smart contracts, we eliminate intermediaries, ensuring fair pricing, automated order management, and secure payments between producers and consumers.

A NEAR Protocol smart contract intended to connect farmers and buyers directly, cutting out intermediaries for pricing and payments. It's built on the standard create-near-app scaffold (TypeScript contract, AVA integration tests, JS frontend stub) with actual marketplace logic added in contract/src/contract.ts, model.ts, and utils.ts.

Uses NEAR's TypeScript SDK rather than raw Rust, which lowers the barrier for JS/TS developers to read the contract logic. Has integration tests under integration-tests/ using AVA against a sandboxed NEAR node, and separate shell scripts (place_order_withdraw_funds.sh, accept_buyer_dispute.sh, refund_test.sh) suggesting dispute/refund flows were actually thought through, not just a payment-on-order happy path.

The README is 100% unedited create-near-app boilerplate — still references 'near-blank-project' as the account name and gives zero description of the actual contract's methods, storage model, or how farmers/buyers interact with it. There's no documentation of the dispute resolution logic that the test scripts imply exists. Zero stars, zero forks, single contributor org, and the compiled contract.wasm plus neardev dev-account files are committed to the repo, which is a sign this was pushed as-is from a local dev environment rather than set up for others to build or deploy. No CI config, no license file evident in the tree.
