Companion Repo for The Complete React Native and Redux Course
This is the companion code for a paid Udemy course on React Native and Redux, structured as a series of small standalone apps (albums, auth, manager, tech_stack) each demonstrating one concept, with branches lining up to individual course videos. It's for people actively taking that specific course, not a general-purpose library or reference implementation.
The branch-per-lesson structure is a genuinely useful teaching pattern — you can diff any two branches to see exactly what changed between videos. Each mini-app is small and focused (auth flow, CRUD list, form handling) rather than one sprawling example, which makes the concepts easier to isolate. The common component library (Button, Card, CardSection, Input, Spinner) shows a clean, reusable pattern for RN UI primitives without a UI framework dependency.
Last pushed in 2018 — this predates React Native's New Architecture, Hooks-based Redux (react-redux hooks, Redux Toolkit), and uses old-style class components with connect() throughout, so the patterns are outdated for anyone learning RN today. Still using Buck/Xcode project files and old Android Gradle config that won't build against current tooling without significant upgrade work. The repo is essentially unusable without the paid course itself since there's no explanatory documentation beyond the README pointing to Udemy — the code alone doesn't teach the concepts it's demonstrating.
