A slim, lean forum package designed for quick and easy integration in Laravel projects

A Laravel package that bolts a full forum (categories, threads, posts, moderation) onto an existing app, with a choice of Blade/Bootstrap, Blade/Tailwind, or Livewire/Tailwind front ends. It's aimed at Laravel devs who want community/discussion features without standing up Discourse or Flarum separately.

Nearly every user action — create, edit, delete, approve, pin, lock, bulk-move — fires a dedicated event class, so you can wire up notifications, audit logs, or activity feeds without touching package internals. Content approval, soft-delete/restore, and bulk moderation actions (bulk approve/lock/move/pin for both threads and posts) are already built, which is the tedious part most minimal forum packages skip. CI runs phpunit and phpcs on every push, and the package maps its releases directly onto Laravel's own support policy (Laravel 13/Livewire 4 and Laravel 12/Livewire 3 as parallel maintained branches), so it isn't likely to rot the way a lot of abandoned Laravel packages do.

"Slim, lean" undersells the actual surface area — three separate frontend stacks, parallel API and Blade controller trees for bulk actions, 40+ event classes, and multiple policy/authorization layers mean a fair amount to read before you trust it in production. Search is a single SearchPosts action with no mention of full-text indexing, so at any real post volume it's going to be a LIKE-query bottleneck. The UI preset you pick locks you to a specific Livewire/Laravel pairing (Livewire 4 only runs on Laravel 13, Livewire 3 only on 12), so upgrading Laravel without also upgrading Livewire will break the front end. Translation coverage is incomplete by the project's own admission — strings added in v6 still aren't translated across several of the 15 listed locales.
