Virto Commerce B2B Innovation Platform
A large, modular ecommerce platform aimed at B2B/B2C/marketplace builds on .NET, structured as independently versioned microservice modules behind an extensibility framework. It's for teams building a real enterprise commerce deployment, not for someone who wants a lightweight storefront to hack on over a weekend.
The extensibility model is genuinely well thought out — you extend entities, override services, and add admin UI without forking the platform, which matters a lot once you're tracking upstream releases. CI is taken seriously: SonarCloud quality/security/reliability gates, CodeQL, and an OWASP scan all run on every PR. The release strategy (quarterly Stable, Hotfix for the last two stables, rolling Edge) gives you an actual choice between stability and freshness instead of just a moving main branch. Already ported to .NET 10/ASP.NET Core 10, so it isn't dragging an old runtime.
The admin SPA is still built on AngularJS, which Google stopped supporting years ago — that's a real liability for anyone maintaining this long-term, not a cosmetic nitpick. It ships under a custom 'VC Open Software License' rather than a standard OSI license, so legal will need to actually read it before your company can use this, and the AS-IS disclaimer is explicit. Running it locally means standing up the platform, frontend, Postgres/SQL, Redis, and Elasticsearch together — there's a one-command script for that, but it's still a heavy footprint compared to most repos in this space. The README itself is mostly architecture-diagram marketing copy (atoms, molecules, 'Cloud Native' bullet points); you'll need to go into the actual docs site to find out what building a module looks like in practice.
