FlutterBoost is a Flutter plugin which enables hybrid integration of Flutter for your existing native apps with minimum efforts

FlutterBoost is a Flutter plugin for adding Flutter screens to an existing Android or iOS app without rewriting its navigation. Pages are addressed by name, usually a URL, and the plugin decides whether a route opens a native or a Flutter screen. It fits teams with a large native codebase that want Flutter pages on a WebView-like model, not Flutter-first apps.

- The routing surface is small. Pages are addressed by name, and the documented API is a handful of push, pop, and event calls, which is the right trade when the native side already owns navigation.

- The Android side is split into concrete pieces (FlutterBoostActivity, FlutterBoostFragment, FlutterContainerManager, FlutterViewContainer), so you can read how a Flutter page gets hosted instead of trusting a black box.

- Lifecycle, cross-platform event bridging, and the route interceptor each have their own doc page, and the generated API reference is checked into doc/api, so the public surface is documented beyond the README.

- The release notes say Flutter SDK upgrades don't require a Boost release. If that holds, it matters more than any single feature, because the native/Flutter seam is where long-lived hybrid apps break.

- The version matrix contradicts itself. The prerequisites still mention Boost 3.0 and Flutter 1.22, the install snippet pins 4.6.5, and the version notes say Flutter 3.16.x needs 5.0.0 or later. Anyone adopting this has to work out which tag matches their SDK before writing code.

- It installs from a git ref, not pub.dev. There is no version resolution, no pub.dev changelog, and no compatibility check from the pub toolchain, so the tag you pin is entirely your responsibility.

- The native setup steps live in external markdown (INTEGRATION.md, docs/install.md, and the FAQ). The FAQ carries platform-specific gotchas, so read it before estimating effort.

- The newest release note is about the HarmonyOS port, and the last push was in June. Check the issue tracker for how Android and iOS bugs are handled before betting a production app on it.
