Python/Django application demonstrating the Amadeus Self-Service flight booking APIs

A Django reference implementation of the Amadeus Self-Service flight booking flow — search, price confirmation, and order creation — wired together with the official amadeus-python SDK. It's aimed at developers evaluating or integrating the Amadeus APIs who want working glue code rather than isolated curl examples.

It covers the real three-call sequence (offer search → price confirm → create order) instead of just the search endpoint most demos stop at, which is the part people actually get stuck on. Docker + Makefile setup (make, make run, make start/stop) means you can get it running without fighting a Python env. Test/production environment switching is a single AMADEUS_HOSTNAME env var, so moving from sandbox to live keys doesn't require code changes.

No test suite anywhere in the tree — for a repo demonstrating a payment-adjacent booking flow, that's a real gap if you're copying logic out of it. views.py and booking.py are the whole app logic; there's no separation for error handling around API failures (rate limits, declined offers, expired pricing), so you'll be writing that yourself. It's explicitly a prototype — no auth, no persistence beyond whatever models.py minimally defines, and the admin.py is almost certainly just Django boilerplate, not a real back-office. Treat this as a sequence-diagram-in-code, not a starting point for a production booking app.
