A CMake build harness that compiles KTX-Software and Basis Universal into native C libraries for Unity, across a wide platform matrix (macOS, Windows, UWP, Linux, iOS, Android). It's the native backend for the separate KtxUnity package, not something you'd use standalone — relevant to Unity devs who need GPU-compressed texture support and are willing to build or vendor native binaries.
Covers an unusually complete platform/arch matrix from one CMake config — macOS universal, UWP across x86/x64/arm/arm64, iOS arm64 and armv7a, Android arm64-v8a and armeabi-v7a — which is real cross-compilation work most plugin authors don't bother finishing. Wraps both KTX-Software and Basis Universal behind a single C binding (ktx_c_binding.cpp) so the Unity side only deals with one API instead of two. No push since March 2023 — three and a half years stale against upstream KTX-Software and Basis Universal, so newer KTX2 features or decoder fixes upstream won't be reflected here without manual work. It's split from KtxUnity, the repo you'd actually consume; that split makes it unclear whether a given bug gets fixed here or there, and doubles the surface you need to track. The LICENSE file pairs an Apache 2.0 grant with an 'All Rights Reserved' copyright line, which is a contradiction worth resolving before depending on it in anything commercial. There's no versioned release of the compiled binaries tied to specific KTX-Software/Basis Universal versions, so you're building from a submodule pin and have to dig into git history to know what you're actually running.
