Perl in Classical Chinese in Perl
A Perl source filter that lets you write Perl in Classical Chinese — literary 文言文, not modern Mandarin. It's a spiritual sibling of Lingua::Romana::Perligata, which did the same for Latin. This is unambiguously a joke module, but a technically serious one.
Uses single-character CJK properties to avoid whitespace requirements, which is a genuinely clever fit for the language. CC0 licensed — Audrey Tang just gave it away. The Sieve of Eratosthenes example actually works, which means the source filter is real, not vaporware. Follows standard CPAN module conventions (Makefile.PL, t/, Changes) despite being absurd.
Dead since 2009/2015 — no updates in over a decade, predates modern Perl tooling. No documentation in English for the vocabulary mappings, so you'd need to read the source to figure out what each character means. Source filters are a maintenance nightmare in general; this one compounds that with a character set most Perl developers can't read. Zero practical use outside of conference talks and winning bets.
