badlogic/pi-diff-review

A native diff review window for the pi CLI editor/agent, built on Glimpse for the native webview host and Monaco for the actual diff rendering. It's for developers using pi who want a real diff UI with file switching and inline comments instead of staring at terminal diffs, though the author's own README flags it as rough and unfinished.

Reuses Monaco rather than rolling a custom diff renderer, so the diff view itself is solid from day one instead of being another half-baked text diffing attempt. Lazy-loading file contents as you switch scope or file is the right call for performance once diffs get large. The comment-to-prompt flow is genuinely useful — turning review comments into a feedback prompt back in the pi editor closes a real gap in CLI-agent workflows. The file layout (git.ts, prompt.ts, ui.ts, types.ts) stays small and legible for what the tool actually does.

The README opens with the author calling it 'pure slop' and asking someone else to make it good, and that's not false modesty — there are no tests and no CI config anywhere in the tree. It hard-depends on CDN-hosted Tailwind and Monaco, so it just stops working offline, an odd tradeoff for a local dev tool. Getting it running on Windows means installing the .NET 8 SDK and WebView2 Runtime just to build a native host for what's conceptually a diff viewer. It also stacks dependencies on two young, niche projects (pi itself and hazat/glimpse), so breakage upstream in either one breaks this.
