Banzai Cloud Pipeline is a solution-oriented application platform which allows enterprises to develop, deploy and securely scale container-based applications in multi- and hybrid-cloud environments.

Pipeline is Banzai Cloud's multi-cloud Kubernetes platform: provision clusters across AWS, GCP, Azure, VMware or bare metal (including their own PKE distribution), then bolt on CI/CD, DR, secrets and monitoring through one API. It's aimed at platform teams who want a single control plane instead of stitching together Terraform, Velero, cert-manager, etc. by hand.

The provider abstraction is real, not just marketing copy — CreateClusterRequest genuinely supports AWS/GCP/Azure/on-prem/BYOK behind one model, and PKE means it's not purely a wrapper around managed offerings. Cluster lifecycle extras (backup/restore via Ark, Helm repo and chart management, secret injection, integrated service activation) are first-class API resources rather than afterthoughts. The whole API is OpenAPI 3.0-first, so the generated Go client actually matches the server contract instead of drifting.

No commits since November 2023 — this looks abandoned, which is a serious problem for something you'd trust with cloud credentials and cluster lifecycle. The repo ships hundreds of committed generated files (.gen/anchore, .gen/cloudinfo, .gen/pipeline) mixed in with hand-written code, making the actual surface area much harder to audit than it looks. Real docs live off-repo on banzaicloud.com, which is a dead link risk given the project's apparent status. Adopting it means running a stateful, opinionated control-plane service with its own DB and auth rather than a tool you can drop into an existing stack — high commitment for a project with no ongoing maintenance.
