Project files for Modern JS From The Beginning course

A grab-bag of ten small vanilla-JS projects (tasklist, loan calculator, number guesser, a Github API search tool, weather app, etc.) that accompany Brad Traversy's Modern JavaScript From The Beginning Udemy course. It's for people working through that course or wanting worked examples of DOM manipulation, fetch/async-await, OOP, generators, and webpack basics without a framework.

Each project is small and self-contained, so you can read a whole app in one sitting instead of chasing abstractions across files. Good spread of vanilla-JS fundamentals — localStorage, fetch/async-await, the module pattern, generators, class-based OOP — that most tutorial repos skip in favor of framework boilerplate. No build tooling required for most of the folders, so you can open index.html and see it work immediately.

This is course companion material, not a maintained project — no tests, no CI, no package.json at the root, and most folders predate ES modules being standard. Zero commentary or docs explaining what each project demonstrates beyond a one-line list in the README, so it's only useful alongside the paid course, not as a standalone reference. Last pushed February 2025 but the code itself is years older in style (var-heavy in places, callback-based patterns in the API examples) — not representative of how you'd write JS today. Microposts is the only project using webpack/modules; everything else is script tags and globals, which won't transfer well to real project structure.
