MCP server。| Ingest Chinese content into your personal knowledge base — image/video routing, subtitle-first transcription, feed subscriptions with daily digests, and a KB MCP server.
Chubby Skills is a set of 14 agent skills and a Python CLI that save transcripts, podcasts, articles and social posts from Chinese platforms (Douyin, Bilibili, Xiaohongshu, WeChat, X) as Markdown in a local vault. It also provides search, a source-cited evidence brief, and an MCP server so an agent can answer from your own saved material. It is aimed at content creators and people who keep a personal knowledge base.
The core path uses only the Python standard library, so X, Xiaohongshu and local Markdown or TXT import run without pip installs or API keys, and the README gives a runnable demo for each. Provenance is handled carefully: saved notes carry source URL, author and timestamp in frontmatter, and the evidence brief cites verbatim excerpts with line numbers and a SHA-256 of the imported copy. Bilibili and YouTube are subtitle-first, so most videos never need a GPU, and the cloud transcription backends document their real limits (DashScope's 10 MB and 5-minute cap, Groq's chunked and resumable jobs). The platform status table separates stable paths from untested ones and manual fallbacks, and the project states plainly that it does not work around anti-bot controls.
Platform support is uneven. Bilibili, YouTube and local documents are the only paths marked stable; Douyin, TikTok, Weibo and Zhihu depend on funasr and ffmpeg and are labelled test-grade, and the README says the cloud transcription path has not yet been acceptance-tested against a real run. X and Xiaohongshu mostly rely on manual fallbacks, and X long-form articles need your own auth cookies, which will break when the session expires. The surface is large for what it delivers: 14 skills, a CLI, an MCP server, feed subscriptions, a digest, a site builder and about thirty docs files, and the README does not say which piece a new user should adopt first. Setup and examples are bash-first (setup.sh, /path/to paths), Windows is not mentioned at all, and subscriptions cover only public RSS, Atom and JSON feeds plus YouTube channels, not the Chinese platforms the headline lists.
