📝 Production-ready backend template with Fiber Go Web Framework for Create Go App CLI.
A Fiber-based Go backend scaffold used by the Create Go App CLI generator, bundling JWT auth, Postgres/MySQL via sqlx-style queries, Redis caching, and Swagger docs out of the box. It's for someone who wants a CRUD API skeleton with auth already wired rather than assembling one from scratch.
The layered folder structure (app/platform/pkg) actually separates business logic from infra setup, so swapping Postgres for MySQL is a platform-level change, not a rewrite. JWT access+refresh token flow with role-based middleware is implemented, not just stubbed. Swagger docs are generated from code annotations and served at runtime, so the API docs can't drift too far from the handlers. Docker Compose plus a Makefile gets you a running Postgres+Redis+API stack in one command.
The whole example domain is a toy 'book' CRUD resource — there's no real-world complexity shown (pagination, nested resources, transactions), so you're extrapolating a lot to production use. JWT secret defaults to the string "secret" in .env.example with no startup check rejecting default values, which is exactly how these leak into prod. No test coverage beyond two route-level test files; queries and controllers have no unit tests. Go 1.19 floor and the overall template feel stale for a 2026 Go codebase — no generics usage, no structured logging (slog), and dependency versions in go.mod are worth auditing before building on top of this rather than assuming they're current.
