This is a setup repo for running Ubuntu desktop GUI apps under WSL2 on Windows, published alongside a David Bombal video. The visible tree shows only a LICENSE and an ubuntu_gui_youtube directory, so this review rests on the name and metadata, not the README or install steps. It was aimed at Windows users who wanted Linux GUI tools before WSLg shipped in stable Windows builds.

- The scope is one job: get an Ubuntu desktop and GUI apps running in WSL2. There is no extra tooling layered on top, which makes the steps easy to audit.

- A LICENSE sits at the root, so the reuse terms are stated instead of left for readers to guess.

- The fork count (139) is high relative to stars (254). For a setup guide, that usually means people adapted the steps to their own machines, which says more than the star count does.

- Stale. The last push was September 2021. Current Windows 11 builds of WSL2 include WSLg, which runs Linux GUI apps without a separate X server, so any manual X server or DISPLAY workaround here is probably obsolete.

- The visible tree has no tests, no CI, and no pinned Ubuntu release. Nothing shows which steps still work on a current WSL distro, and the repo gives no way to check them.

- If the written steps lean on the video for the actual commands, the repo becomes hard to use once the video's Windows or Ubuntu versions drift.
