An open source Project management tool based on Laravel and Filament

A Laravel + Filament admin panel turned project management tool — tickets, kanban, scrum boards, epics, sprints, time tracking, and a helpdesk module. It's for small teams that want a self-hosted Jira alternative without the enterprise overhead. Built on Laravel 9 with Filament v2, so it's a few major versions behind but the architecture is solid.

Filament gives you a lot for free — the admin UI, tables, forms, and permissions are all handled by the framework rather than hand-rolled. OIDC/SSO support is a real differentiator for teams that need it. The Jira import feature means you can actually migrate existing projects rather than starting from scratch. Docker image available and the setup is genuinely straightforward — `.env` file, run migrations, done.

Still on Laravel 9 and Filament v2 — both are behind by at least two major versions, and Filament v3 is a breaking change in the upgrade path. Pusher is a hard dependency for real-time features; you can't swap in Soketi or Laravel Reverb without touching config. Translations are auto-generated by Google Translate across 60+ languages, which means non-English UIs are unreliable for anything nuanced. The project has slowed noticeably — last meaningful feature landed in 2023 and recent commits are mostly language fixes, which is a warning sign for a tool you'd stake team workflows on.
