Sketch plugin to fill a shape with a map generated from a given location using Google Maps and Mapbox

A Sketch plugin that fills selected shapes with map tiles from Google Maps or Mapbox. It's a design-time utility — you pick a location, set zoom and style, and the plugin fetches a static map image and drops it into your shape. Useful for UI mockups that need real map content without leaving Sketch.

Supports both Google Maps and Mapbox, so you're not locked into one API's pricing or style limitations. Live preview with draggable pin before committing to a map is a genuine time-saver. Mapbox custom styles mean you can match a map's look to your brand in the mockup. The 'regenerate previous map' shortcut is a small but smart touch for iteration.

Last pushed March 2023 and targets Sketch 53+ — Sketch has moved on significantly and plugin API compatibility is a real question. Google Maps static API caps at 640x640px, which is unusable for anything retina or large-canvas; the Mapbox limit of 1280x1280 is better but still constraining. The plugin bundles Vue.js and uses a webview for its UI, which is heavier than it needs to be for a form with a map preview. No Figma support, so if your team has moved off Sketch this is dead weight.
