The online GPX file editor
A browser-based GPX editor built on Leaflet and Mapbox that lets you load, edit, merge, and export GPX tracks without installing anything. This is the old codebase — the project has migrated to gpxstudio/gpx.studio, so this repo is effectively archived. Worth knowing about, not worth forking.
Solid feature coverage for GPX manipulation: segment splitting, waypoint matching, timestamp editing, and track simplification are all there. The Google Drive integration and embeddable map output is genuinely useful for people managing route libraries. Localization via Crowdin in 17+ languages shows real community adoption. Dependencies are vendored into /include, which makes it trivially runnable with just a static file server.
This repo is abandoned — last push was September 2024 and the README opens by telling you to go elsewhere. The architecture is vanilla HTML + global JS files with no module system, so the codebase is hard to navigate or contribute to beyond small patches. Requires a Mapbox API token even for local dev, which adds friction and a billing dependency for what is otherwise a client-side-only tool. No tests anywhere.
