🚀🪐🌕🌑☄️🛸 Opensource equivalent of Google's Antigravity/Claude Code/Cursor

Open Velocity is a self-hosted, agent-first coding IDE aiming to be a model-agnostic alternative to Cursor/Antigravity, letting you swap between Claude, Gemini, GPT-4, Llama, etc. for autonomous coding agents. It's aimed at developers who want multi-agent orchestration without being locked into one vendor's model, but most of what's public is still early-stage backend plumbing rather than a working editor.

The newcore/ backend is a real system, not a stub: 14 sequential SQLite migrations with WAL mode, per-table test files (agents, swarms, locks, cost-events, etc.), and a mock LLM provider alongside the real anthropic/gemini/openai/ollama adapters so tests don't need live keys. It also has two problems most multi-agent tools skip entirely: a file-level lock manager to stop parallel agents from clobbering the same file, and a cost recorder that enforces a hard per-swarm spend ceiling.

The README is almost entirely roadmap and vision (four unshipped 'phases,' trademark disclaimers, emoji-heavy feature lists) with the one concrete section — the actual backend — buried at the bottom. There's no UI/editor code anywhere in the tree despite the architecture diagram showing a 'Web UI / Editor' box, so this is currently an orchestrator with no IDE attached. There's an unexplained mitmserver/ directory with its own package.json and no mention in the README of what it intercepts, which is a strange thing to leave undocumented in a tool that already gives agents filesystem, terminal, and sandbox access. The repo root also still has leftover cruft (README.md.bak, banner_escaped.txt, escape_art.js) that shouldn't be there for a public release.
