CLI for adding customizable and re-usable chat components to your applications. Build beautiful chat interfaces in minutes.
A shadcn/ui-style CLI that drops copy-paste chat UI components (bubbles, message list, input, autoscroll, expandable chat widget) into a Next.js/React project. Aimed at devs who want to skip building chat scaffolding by hand when wiring up something like the Vercel AI SDK.
Follows the shadcn copy-paste model, so you get plain component source in your repo instead of a black-box npm dependency — no version lock-in, easy to hack on. The component set is genuinely the stuff you need for a chat UI (bubbles, autoscroll hook, loading indicator, expandable widget), not just a single demo component. Ships a working end-to-end example wired to the Vercel AI SDK, so you can see real streaming integration rather than guessing how the pieces fit together.
The README leads with the author no longer maintaining it and pointing you to ai-sdk Elements or prompt-kit instead — picking this up new means adopting something its own creator says to avoid. Tightly coupled to shadcn/ui and Tailwind conventions, so it's a poor fit for any project not already on that stack. No chat state/streaming logic is included — you still write the message handling yourself, this only gets you the markup. No tests anywhere in the tree, so component behavior changes are unverified.
