A 2017-era fork of create-react-app that bolted on sw-precache to add offline PWA support before the official CRA did it natively. It got merged into CRA proper in 2017 and has been explicitly deprecated since then. Nothing here is relevant to modern React development.
Historically notable as the proof-of-concept that convinced the CRA team to add service worker support natively. The sw-precache-config.js shows a clean, minimal precache configuration that was instructive at the time.
Deprecated and abandoned since 2020, superseded entirely by the official create-react-app. Modern CRA itself is now also in maintenance mode, making this doubly irrelevant. No Workbox, no modern service worker patterns — sw-precache was retired years ago. Recommending this to anyone would be actively harmful.
