Barcode scanner using OpenCV and zbar
A small Xcode project in C that uses OpenCV to grab camera frames and preprocess images, then passes them to zbar for barcode decoding. It is a 2012 Mac project for developers who need a scanner inside a native app and want to read a short example before adding a dependency.
The stack is a sensible free choice: OpenCV handles capture and image work, and zbar does the decoding. The Xcode project builds a CameraStream target separately from an ImProc2 target, so capture and image processing are split into different build units, judging by the build output directories. The source lives in two files at the top level, main.c and cv.h, which keeps the codebase small.
The README is a title and one line, with no dependency versions, build steps, or usage example, so a newcomer has to work out how to link OpenCV and zbar on their own. Build output and per-user Xcode state are committed, including object files, pbxindex caches, and a JLH.pbxuser file, which bloats the repo and makes it harder to build on another machine. The last push was in May 2012 and the object directories include i386, so this likely targets an old Mac toolchain and an older OpenCV API. There is also no LICENSE file in the tree, so nobody can reuse the code with confidence.
