Collection of CI configuration files for Rust projects
A set of reusable GitHub Actions workflow files for Rust projects, maintained by jonhoo (known for the 'crust of rust' series and a lot of real-world Rust maintenance experience). It's meant to be copy-pasted into a new project's .github/workflows as a starting point rather than installed as a dependency.
Goes past the usual cargo build/test loop: nostd.yml checks no_std compatibility, safety.yml runs the extra tooling (miri and friends) most projects never wire up, and scheduled.yml catches breakage from a shifting toolchain or dependency tree between pushes, not just at commit time. Dependabot and codecov config are included so you're not bolting those on separately. The workflows reflect lessons from someone who has actually shipped and maintained non-trivial Rust crates, not generic boilerplate.
It's a template, not a reusable action or crate — there's no mechanism to pull in upstream fixes later, so once you copy the YAML in, it silently drifts unless you manually diff against the source repo. The workflows assume a fairly standard single-crate layout; anything with a workspace, multiple MSRV targets, or unusual feature flags will need real editing, not just find-and-replace. With only a handful of workflow files and a DOCS.md, there's not much guidance on which pieces are optional or how to trim it down for a smaller project.
