My collection of Livebooks
José Valim's personal collection of Livebook notebooks — Advent of Code solutions from 2021 and slide decks from his conference talks between 2022 and 2026. This is the Elixir creator's own working notebooks, not a tutorial project. Useful if you want to see how he actually writes Elixir interactively.
The talk notebooks are the real draw — you get the actual runnable code behind ElixirConf and EuroKo presentations, including distributed Livebook demos that are otherwise hard to find as working examples. The AoC solutions show idiomatic Elixir pattern matching and enum pipelines from someone who knows the language at the design level. The 2026 numerical Elixir notebook suggests he's been keeping it current.
There's no explanation of what each notebook covers beyond the filename — you have to open them to find out. AoC coverage stops at 2021 day 17 with no subsequent years. The README is four lines and tells you nothing. 203 stars for a personal notebook dump is purely name recognition; the content itself would be unremarkable from anyone else.
