:flashlight: All the world's indeed a stage and we are merely players
Limelight dims everything except the current paragraph in Vim, giving you a focus mode for writing. It's a single-purpose plugin by junegunn, the same person behind fzf and Goyo. Pairs with Goyo for a distraction-free writing setup.
Extremely small and focused — the entire implementation is one autoload file. Color coefficient is configurable as a float, so you can dial in exactly how aggressively surrounding text is dimmed. Paragraph span option lets you keep context by including adjacent paragraphs. The Goyo integration is two lines and just works.
Relies on color calculation from your colorscheme's Normal highlight group, which breaks with many themes and requires manual fallback config — this trips up a lot of first-time users. No Neovim Lua rewrite, so it sits in the aging Vim Script ecosystem with no Tree-sitter or LSP awareness; 'paragraph' is defined by blank lines or regex, not syntax. 57 forks and minimal recent commits suggests the plugin is in maintenance mode at best. Doesn't handle markdown or structured prose well out of the box — the paragraph detection is dumb and you'll need to tune bop/eop regexes.
