Tool to visualize your git workflow, in a pretty graph

A small Flask app (plus a standalone CLI mode) that turns your shell command history into an SVG graph showing how you actually use git day to day. It's a fun diagnostic/teaching tool from Julia Evans rather than something you'd integrate into a workflow — useful for people curious about their own git habits or for teaching git conceptually.

The standalone mode is dead simple: pipe `history` into the script and get an SVG, no server needed. The repo is tiny and easy to read end to end in a few minutes. It ships both a hosted web app path (Dockerfile, fly.toml, schema.sql) and a zero-dependency CLI path, so you can use it without standing up the Flask app at all.

The README tells you almost nothing — one command and a screenshot, no explanation of how the graph is built or what the edges/nodes mean; you have to read the HTML template to understand the output. Parsing `history` output is inherently fragile across shells (bash vs zsh vs fish all format differently), and there's no indication in the tree of any handling for that. No test suite anywhere in the tree, and no license file even though it's open source and expects reuse. It's also been essentially static for years with low star/fork counts, so treat it as a personal project you might fork and tweak rather than something actively maintained.
