It's for developers entering the Starknet ecosystem who want a single starting point rather than discovering everything by accident. Cairo 1.0 only; Cairo 0 content is archived separately.
The categorization is genuinely useful — splitting SDKs, Cairo VMs, node implementations, sequencers, and provers into distinct sections reflects real architectural boundaries rather than dumping everything in one list. Coverage across languages is solid: Rust, Go, Python, JS, Dart, JVM, Zig. The security section goes beyond just 'here are auditors' and includes static analyzers, semgrep rules, and substantive reading on Cairo-specific attack surfaces. Maintaining a Cairo 0 archive rather than deleting it is good hygiene for anyone stuck on older codebases.
Last push was January 2025 and the ecosystem moves fast — Madara has undergone significant changes, some linked projects have gone inactive or been superseded, and there's no signal in the list itself about which entries are still maintained. The AI and Storage Proofs sections are thin and feel like placeholder categories. There's no quality signal at all: a hello-world Cairo plugin and OpenZeppelin contracts appear with equal weight. The automated CI check is just a link validator, so dead projects with live URLs stay in indefinitely.
