ChatGPT integration with Unity Editor

A proof-of-concept Unity Editor extension that lets you drive Editor commands (creating objects, writing scripts, etc.) via ChatGPT natural-language prompts. Made by keijiro as an experiment, for Unity devs curious about LLM-assisted tooling rather than anyone needing a working product.

Small, readable codebase (three files in Assets/Editor) so it's easy to see exactly how the OpenAI call and Editor command execution are wired together. It's an honest, self-aware PoC — the README flatly says 'it doesn't work yet' instead of overselling itself. Good jumping-off point if you want to prototype your own natural-language-to-Editor-API bridge.

Author explicitly calls it impractical and abandoned — no commits since Dec 2023, no roadmap, no fixes planned. API key is stored in plaintext in UserSettings/AICommandSettings.asset with just a warning to exclude it from sharing, not an actual safeguard. No error handling beyond 'press Run again if it fails to compile' — there's no validation or sandboxing around code that gets generated and executed inside your Editor. No packaging (UPM manifest, install instructions beyond 'copy the folder'), so integrating it into a real project takes manual work.
