kepano/40-questions
Questions that I ask myself at the end of each year and each decade.
A personal list of 40 reflection questions kepano (Obsidian's creator) answers every year and 40 more every decade, maintained here mostly so the community can crowdsource translations. It's for people who do structured year-end or decade journaling, not developers looking for a tool.
The translation layout is dead simple — one ISO 639-1 folder, two markdown files, no code to touch — which is why it's picked up 40+ languages with almost no friction. The questions themselves hold up; they're specific enough to actually prompt real answers instead of generic journaling prompts. Zero dependencies, zero build, nothing to break or maintain.
There's no code in the repo at all — no app, no CLI, no way to actually fill in and store your answers, just raw markdown you copy somewhere else. Translations aren't validated against the source; nothing checks a translated file still has 40 questions or matches structural changes to the English original over time. No versioning on the question lists themselves, so if the author tweaks a question, past translations silently go stale with no flag.
