Easily generate gRPC services in Go ⚡️

Lile is a Go code generator for gRPC services — think 'rails new' but for gRPC — scaffolding a project with Dockerfile, Makefile, cobra CLI, and per-RPC-method stubs plus matching test files. It's for Go teams standing up several small gRPC services and wanting to skip the same boilerplate each time.

The protoc plugin (protoc-gen-lile-server) generates a server method stub and a test file together for every RPC you add, which nudges you toward actually writing the test instead of skipping it. The generated project ships a working Makefile with a `make proto` step already wired up, so the codegen loop is one command. Pluggable metrics/tracing/pubsub hooks are baked into the generated skeleton rather than bolted on later.

Last commit is from July 2023 and the README still documents `protoc ... --go_out=plugins=grpc:$GOPATH/src` — that plugin mode was removed from protoc-gen-go years ago, so following the guide as written today produces a build that won't compile without extra fixups. It depends on `github.com/golang/protobuf`, which upstream has deprecated in favor of `google.golang.org/protobuf`. Docs still reference GOPATH-based service naming conventions from the pre-modules era even though the repo itself uses go.mod. Adopting it also means buying into Lile's own service-discovery/pubsub/registry abstractions, which is more to learn than writing a plain grpc-go server directly.
