Visualization bridge for LimX robots — ROS 1/2 RViz & sensor data display
A thin ROS1/ROS2 integration layer — launch files plus RViz and PlotJuggler configs — for visualizing joint states, IMU, and force sensor data from LimX Dynamics' bipedal and wheel-legged robots (the TRON1 line). Only useful if you already own LimX hardware or are running their simulator.
Supports both ROS Noetic and ROS2, which matters since a lot of robotics shops are still mid-migration. Launch files are cleanly split by robot type and hw/sim mode, so you're not hand-editing args. Reuses RViz and PlotJuggler instead of building a custom viewer, so there's less surface area to maintain or debug.
The repo is mostly prebuilt .so binaries and generated ROS message headers checked into lib/, organized by distro and arch (e.g. foxy-aarch64) — that's vendored build output in git, not source, and it ties you to whatever exact toolchain they compiled against. Despite being tagged as C, there's effectively no source code to read or review here, just configs and binaries. ROS2 support is incomplete: only pointfoot robots are covered, wheel-legged visualization requires falling back to ROS1. One star and five forks suggests this is internal tooling open-sourced as a courtesy rather than something with outside users or contributions.
