Add interactive vector tile maps to your Compose app

A Compose Multiplatform wrapper around the MapLibre SDKs for adding interactive vector tile maps to Compose UIs on Android, iOS, macOS, desktop, and web. It suits teams already building in Compose or Kotlin Multiplatform who want maps without writing platform-specific view code.

- One Kotlin API covers Android, iOS, macOS native, desktop JVM, and web, so the map code isn't duplicated per platform.

- The stability table is honest. Android and iOS are Beta, macOS is Experimental, desktop and web are Alpha, and the README says why: those platforms depend on Compose and Skia internals.

- The repo ships a benchmark harness with Android, iOS, and browser drivers plus fixtures, and screenshot tests for the demo app. The maintainers measure rendering rather than only asserting that it works.

- The demo app bundles several style JSON files (colorful, eclipse, graybeard, osm-raster), so you can see the library running on each platform before writing integration code.

- The README says minor releases can contain breaking changes. Pin the version and expect migration work on every upgrade if this goes beyond a prototype.

- Desktop and web are Alpha, and the README ties that to Compose and Skia internals. Those platforms inherit upstream churn you don't control.

- It's a wrapper, so tile rendering and style-spec behavior are whatever the underlying MapLibre SDKs do. Bugs in those show up here one layer removed, which makes them harder to debug.
