// the take

A macOS app (shipped on the Mac App Store) that's part personal Swift/iOS knowledge base and part GitHub repo/developer tracker, built on SwiftData, Observable, and Swift Concurrency. It's aimed at Swift/iOS developers, particularly Chinese-speaking ones, who want a native reference tool rather than a web bookmark manager.

Real, shipped product with an App Store listing and several thousand stars, not just a tutorial repo. Uses current SwiftUI idioms throughout (SwiftData instead of Core Data/third-party DB, NavigationSplitView, Observable macro, async/await with actors), so it's a decent reference for how those pieces fit together in a real app. Lets you link knowledge entries to saved reference material and offline-saves web pages so sources don't rot, which is a practical touch most note-taking tools skip. GitHub developer/repo tracking is done through the API directly inside the app rather than bolted on as a webview.

Everything — README, UI copy, in-app content — is in Chinese, which caps its usefulness for non-Chinese speakers as either a learning reference or a tool. macOS-only despite covering iOS development topics; no iPadOS/iOS build. Last push was over a year ago (2025-08-16), so treat it as lightly maintained rather than active. It's a one-person project with the GitHub token/API wiring built for personal use, not for teams or heavier repo-tracking workloads.

We read the README, the directory tree and a key source file in October 2026. Nobody pays to be listed. How we judge →
