Responsive Bootstrap 3 Admin Template based on AdminLTE with vue.js
CoPilot bolts a Vue 2 app (Vue Router, Vuex, vue-cli's old webpack template) onto AdminLTE's Bootstrap 3 markup and jQuery plugins, giving you a pre-wired admin dashboard shell with fake data via faker.js. It's for someone who wants a working admin UI skeleton fast and is fine building on a stack that was current around 2017.
The Vue layer is real, not decorative — routing and state (Vuex store, actions/mutations split) are properly wired to the AdminLTE components, so pages and sidebar state actually behave like an app. Demo data is isolated in src/demo.js, so swapping in a real API is a matter of replacing one module rather than digging fake data out of components. The vue-cli webpack scaffold ships with unit and e2e test runners already configured, which most admin templates skip entirely.
Bootstrap 3 and Vue 2 are both past end-of-life, and Vue 2's ecosystem (vue-resource, this specific vue-cli webpack template) is deprecated even within the README itself, so anyone starting fresh inherits a migration debt on day one. AdminLTE's plugin folder is full of jQuery-driven widgets (DataTables extensions, old Chart.js) that mutate the DOM directly, which fights Vue's reactivity model and is a classic source of subtle rendering bugs when the two touch the same elements. Listed IE9+ support and a 2024 last push with a stack this old suggests the repo is coasting on its original setup rather than being actively modernized.
