JavaScript Sequence Editor
A browser-based timeline editor for building sequenced animations and demoscene-style productions, from mrdoob (three.js). You write JS/markdown 'scenes' and scrub through them on a waveform-synced timeline — think After Effects for people who'd rather write code than drag keyframes. Aimed at creative coders doing music videos, demoscene entries, and generative art, not general app developers.
Battle-tested outside the repo itself — it's the actual editor behind published Within Unlimited music videos and demoscene productions (Solskogen 2020), so this isn't a toy. Zero build step: open index.html, no npm install, no bundler, consistent with mrdoob's other projects (three.js editor, three.js itself). Audio waveform generation and timeline scrubbing are built in, which most creative-coding tools punt on. Ships working three.js examples (shaders, cube) showing it's not tied to any one renderer.
README is a single line — 'Work in progress' — with no explanation of the .md scene file format, the Frame.js API, or how Code.js/Timeline.js actually fit together; you're reading source to learn the tool. No package.json, no tests, no CI, and a vendored old CodeMirror plus a bundled three.js copy in examples/js/libs instead of a dependency graph — updating either means manual file surgery. No versioning or releases, so 'last push 2025-09-18' is the only signal of where the project stands. Being WIP for what looks like years is itself a signal: fine for demoscene hobbyists comfortable reading source, risky if you need something you can hand to a team.
