MyKart is an e-commerce website built using Flask, a lightweight and flexible web framework in Python. It allows brands to sell their merchandise to clients. The project aims to provide users with a platform to browse products, add items to the cart, and complete purchases. It also includes an admin dashboard for managing products and orders.
A Flask e-commerce starter project: product browsing, cart, checkout, and an admin dashboard for managing products and orders. This is a learning project by a solo contributor, not something built for production use or wider adoption — zero stars, zero forks, no activity since April 2024.
The scope is sensible for a learning project: browsing, cart, checkout, and a separate admin dashboard cover the core CRUD flows of an e-commerce app without overreaching. The Scripts folder shows Alembic is wired in for migrations, which is the right call even for a small app once you have a real schema.
The entire Python virtualenv is committed to the repo (Scripts/, include/site/python3.11/greenlet/greenlet.h, the python.exe and pip binaries themselves) — this is exactly what .gitignore exists to prevent, and it bloats the repo with machine-specific junk that has nothing to do with the project's code. It's also why GitHub reports the primary language as C instead of Python: the vendored greenlet.h header outweighs the actual Flask source in the language stats, which is a tell that nobody checked what got pushed. No tests visible anywhere in the tree. With zero stars and no commits in over a year, there's no evidence anyone besides the author has touched this.
