End-to-end AI short-video production pipeline. FastAPI orchestration + Spring Boot gateway with multi-model failover, circuit breaker, metering, and full-stack observability. AI quality gating: prompt anchoring, CLIP consistency, AV sync auto-rescue.
A Python and Java pipeline that turns a topic into a Chinese-language short video. FastAPI orchestrates seven layers, from trend discovery through TTS, FFmpeg post-production and distribution, and a Spring Boot gateway handles auth, routing, circuit breaking and per-tenant metering. It is aimed at people running a Chinese short-video operation who are willing to operate a multi-service stack to do it.
The CLIP text-image gate rejects off-prompt keyframes before they reach paid video generation, which is the right place for a cheap check. The audio-video rescue is split into explicit tiers rather than one opaque retry. The gateway is real engineering: the LLM router rotates across DeepSeek, Qwen and GLM behind Resilience4j breakers, and metering runs through an AOP aspect so provider code does not have to know about billing. The migrations run 001 through 012 with a readable history, and the tests cover the pipeline modules individually, with Java tests for the gateway and Vitest specs for the Vue canvas.
The README calls this production-ready but does not give the CLIP threshold, how often the rescue tiers fire, or what a finished clip costs in API calls. Those are the numbers needed before trusting the quality gates. The narration-rewrite tier changes the script after the cut to fit the audio, and nothing in the README says the rewritten line gets reviewed. As far as the layout shows, failover applies to the text LLM calls only; video and image providers are picked by environment variable such as VISUAL_VIDEO_PROVIDER, so a Kling outage stops the job instead of rotating. The stack is heavy for a single-user tool (Postgres, Redis, MinIO, a Java gateway, a Python API, an ARQ worker and a Vue frontend), and the provider list is almost entirely Chinese vendors, which will bite anyone outside China.
