A library for connecting iOS applications to Microsoft SQL Server
An Objective-C wrapper around FreeTDS that lets an iOS app talk directly to a Microsoft SQL Server instance over the wire, no backend API in between. Aimed at someone maintaining an older iOS app that needs raw DB access and doesn't want to hand-roll the TDS protocol themselves.
Bundles FreeTDS as a precompiled static lib so you're not separately building a C networking library just to get TDS support. The delegate-based SQLConnection/SQLController split keeps async query handling out of the caller's main thread logic, which was the right call for the Objective-C era it was written in. Codebase is small enough (a handful of classes) to read start to finish in an afternoon if you need to debug it.
The README's own TODO list admits there's no way to parameterize queries, meaning every query is a hand-built string and this library hands you SQL injection by design, not by accident. Dead since 2015, no Swift, no module support, and a committed libfreetds.a binary that almost certainly won't link on arm64/Apple Silicon toolchains without rebuilding from source yourself. Zero documentation beyond TODO stubs and no usage example, so you're reading the .m files to figure out the API. No tests of any kind, against a networked protocol library where that matters most.
