William Strunk Jr.'s Elements of Style (1918) in markdown format for AI agents

A packaging of Strunk's 1918 'Elements of Style' as an agent skill/plugin, so coding agents read it before writing docs, commit messages, or error text. It's for anyone running a coding agent who's tired of generic AI prose and wants a cheap, deterministic style reference instead of relying on the model's own taste.

The skill description itself manages the cost — it tells the agent up front that the full reference is ~12k tokens and to hand off to a subagent if context is tight, instead of just dumping the text into every prompt. Cross-harness support (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Gemini CLI, OpenCode, etc.) comes from one everyharness.yaml generating all the per-harness manifests, so there's a single source of truth instead of ten manually-maintained plugin configs drifting apart. Content itself is public domain and genuinely good writing advice, not another AI-generated style guide pretending to be authoritative.

There's basically no actual code here — it's a markdown file wrapped in a pile of generated plugin scaffolding, and the repo's own language stat (HTML) reflects that the bulk of committed bytes is boilerplate, not content. No before/after examples or tests showing the skill changes agent output in practice — you're trusting that handing an LLM a grammar book changes its prose, with zero evidence in the repo. Anything beyond trivial edits requires the external everyharness tool and its generate/validate cycle, which is an odd dependency to take on for what's fundamentally a static text file.
