OroCRM - an open-source Customer Relationship Management application.
This is the installable skeleton application for OroCRM Community Edition — a Symfony-based CRM you deploy and customize, not a library you import. It's for teams that want an open-source CRM with real extensibility (entities, workflows, business rules) rather than a SaaS lock-in, and who have the PHP/Symfony chops to run it.
Built on Symfony with a proper entity/workflow/business-rule extension system rather than plugin hacks bolted onto a monolith. The distribution model (separate CE/Enterprise, CRM/Commerce splits) means you're not dragging in eCommerce code you don't need. Backed by a company with paying enterprise customers, so the platform underneath (oroinc/crm, oroinc/platform) gets real maintenance rather than going stale after a v1 release.
This repo itself is nearly empty — it's a composer.json and config scaffold, so you can't actually evaluate the CRM by reading this repo; all the real code lives in oroinc/crm and oroinc/platform as dependencies. Installation is heavy: PHP, Symfony, a specific Node/pnpm toolchain, and a real system requirements list, not a docker-compose up situation despite the docker-compose.yml being present. No CHANGELOG entries or install docs in the README itself — you're immediately redirected to doc.oroinc.com for anything that matters, which makes this repo a poor starting point for evaluating fit before committing time.
