Runtime for Go + Godot
graphics.gd is a Go runtime for Godot 4. You can build standalone apps with its `gd` command, or compile it as a shared library and load it into an existing Godot project. It suits Go developers who want the Godot editor, scenes and export targets without writing GDScript or C#, including mobile and web targets.
The Godot class reference has been ported to Go, so each class and method has a pkg.go.dev page with a snippet, and the //gd: markers let you grep from a symbol to its place in the source. Typed RIDs, Callables and Dictionary arguments are a real improvement over the untyped surface GDScript gives you. The Advanced variants expose allocation control for hot paths, and the vector math packages are plain Go that work outside Godot. The last push was two days before this review, so the project is actively maintained.
Targets are 64-bit only (amd64, arm64, wasm) and consoles are unsupported, which rules it out for a lot of commercial game work. The README admits the test suite and benchmarks are thin, so the faster-than-GDScript claim rests on a linked discussion rather than numbers you can rerun. The `gd` tool and the iOS path, which needs SideStore on the device, add setup costs a plain Godot project does not have. The project reads as a one-maintainer effort, since the README asks for sponsorship to set priorities, so fix pace is a real risk for anything you depend on.
