📼 Package media content for online streaming(DASH and HLS) using FFmpeg

A PHP wrapper around FFmpeg for packaging video into HLS and DASH adaptive streams, with built-in HLS encryption and adapters to read/write directly from S3, Google Cloud Storage, and Azure Blob. Aimed at PHP backend developers who need bitrate-ladder transcoding without hand-building ffmpeg command strings.

The Representation API (setKiloBitrate/setResize, addRepresentations) makes multi-bitrate output declarative instead of string-concatenated ffmpeg flags. Cloud adapters live in src/Clouds as first-class classes, so segments can be written straight to S3/GCS/Azure without separate upload glue. HLS key-based encryption (HLSKeyInfo) is actually implemented, which most ffmpeg wrapper libraries skip. It has a real CI workflow and a PHPUnit suite covering HLS/DASH filters, and 536 stars/121 forks suggest it's actually used in production, not just a weekend project.

The README spends most of its space upselling the maintainer's paid OTT SaaS platform (plans table, 'empowers businesses', 'unmatched reliability') rather than documenting the free library — DASH, DRM, and the cloud adapters get zero code examples, only the single HLS snippet. You're pushed to an external docs site for anything beyond that one case. There's no documentation in-repo about ffmpeg process failure handling or timeouts, which matters a lot for a long-running transcode that can hang or OOM on a large upload. Live streaming and DRM key rotation are explicitly paywalled in the Pro tier, so this package alone caps out at VOD packaging.
