A collection of awesome .NET libraries, tools, frameworks and software
A sprawling, community-maintained index of .NET libraries and tools, split into roughly a hundred categories from ORMs to WebSockets to game engines. It's not a library itself — it's the page you open when you need to know what exists in .NET for some niche problem, aimed at anyone starting a new project or filling a gap in a stack they don't know well.
Breadth is genuinely wide: niche categories like Feature Management, State Machines, and Source Generators get their own section instead of being dumped into a Misc pile. A CI bot (awesome-bot workflow) runs against the list so dead links get caught instead of rotting for years, which is more upkeep than most awesome-lists bother with. CC0 license plus an open PR process with a documented quality bar keeps new entries coming in rather than the list freezing in whatever year it was last touched.
There's no curation signal past 'it got merged' — every entry is a one-line description with no stars, no last-commit date, no note on whether the project is still alive. Caching alone lists nine competing libraries flat with zero indication of which one you'd actually pick. Abandoned projects have no pruning mechanism; something can sit in the list for years after the maintainer walked away, waiting for someone to notice and file a removal PR. Fundamentally it's a link dump, not an opinion — you still have to click into every candidate yourself to find out if it's any good, which is the exact work a list like this is supposed to save you.
